The new year has brought exciting opportunities at the ROCK Center for Youth Development!
The ROCK Out-of-School Time at Delta College
In addition to our afterschool sites at Jefferson Middle School, Northeast Middle School, and Meridian Junior High School, we are thrilled to share the opening of our newest afterschool site, located on campus at Delta College.
The program is designed to lower barriers for families pursuing academic and vocational goals. Through this collaboration, students will have access to Delta’s exceptional facilities and educational opportunities, and a robust afterschool curriculum led by our highly trained ROCK staff.
The ROCK summer camps were held at Delta College in 2024, and we are looking forward to another fun season in 2025.
Impact of Out-of-School Time Programs
The ROCK’s Out-Of-School Time Program helps teens build Developmental Assets, the 40 building blocks all youth need to thrive. Participation in afterschool programs builds a sense of confidence and belonging in teens. Our programs support wellbeing in youth.
Our Out-of-School Time Program is made possible, in part, by funds from the 32n OST Grant awarded by the Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement and Potential (MiLEAP), the Hemlock Semiconductor Community and Regional Empowerment (CARE) grant, Community Investment from the United Way of Midland County, and foundations throughout the community and the state.
